With over 6000 attendees, Money20/20 is the biggest financial services conference in Europe. It was the first time for Ibanity and Isabel Group to have a stand at this huge get-together of fintech peers.

Besides the standard networking happening on and after the conference, we wanted to contribute in our own way. As our value proposition is based on collaboration between banks and fintechs, we wanted to unite these two worlds at our stand at Money20/20.

That is why, together with our strategic partners FinTech Belgium and B-Hive, we organized a matchmaking session. We were able to match more than 20 fintechs and 5 banks including Belgium's big banks Belfius, KBC and BNP Paribas Fortis. We planned short one-on-one meetings during which they could discuss business cases and mutual needs. At the end of the day, the feedback the banks and fintechs gave on our bridge builder role was really positive.

This was only the first step in stimulating collaboration. There are more similar events planned for the second half of this year.
